If you are the fantasy football owner of Pittsburgh Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell, New York Giants’ Rashad Jennings, or Cincinnati Bengals’ Giovani Bernard, see why they could explode, rewarding you tons of fantasy football points in Week 5.

1. Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Bell has an incredibly favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5, where he is bound to score at least his second rushing touchdown for the season. The Jaguars have been awful, and are currently allowing the second most fantasy points to the position, along with a total of 461 rushing yards and four rush scores so far this year.

Expect the Steelers to dominate the Jaguars, who haven’t had a win yet, and spend a lot of time handing off the ball after they secure their lead. Bonus fantasy points go to LeGarrette Blount this week too if this meeting becomes a total massacre.

Week 5 Projections for Bell: 125 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, 40 receiving yards

2. Rashad Jennings, New York Giants

The New York Giants are home, elated and coming off a big win and host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. Can you say running back heaven? Sporting the worst run defense, the Falcons have been absolutely hideous in stopping opposing running backs, allowing them over 800 combined rushing and receiving yards and eight rushing touchdowns.

Jennings had a slow week against Washington last week, but if you recall his Week 3 performance where he rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown against Houston, that is the Jennings sure to return against Atlanta.

There may be enough wealth to spread around to the rookie Andre Williams as a deep, deep flex if you must.

Week 5 Projections for Jennings: 165 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 10 receiving yards

3. Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals

Bernard and the Bengals are well-rested and are facing New England’s pathetic run defense in Week 5. If you were living in a cave this past Monday night, you might have missed the 227 total yards and three touchdowns the Kansas City Chiefs’ running backs dumped on the poor struggling Patriots that evening.

While Bernard isn’t exactly Jamaal Charles, he’s been absolutely solid so far this season, and ranks sixth among his fellow backs (and that is with one less game due to his bye). So, I say Gio is going to explode in Week 5 against New England who severely struggled to keep the run contained; not only last week, but so far this season.

Bonus points here for Gio’s fellow back, Jeremy Hill, who should also reap the benefits making him a flex play in Week 5.

Week 5 Projections for Bernard: 95 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, 30 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown

Are you lucky enough to own any of these running backs to start in Week 5?
