49ers’ Vernon Davis Unsure about playing Monday Night Football
San Francisco 49ers’ tight end Vernon Davis has practiced three times this week, however when questioned about his status for playing in their Monday Night Football matchup, he had this to say to the Sacramento Bee (via NFL.com).
I don’t feel like I’m where I need to be at the moment, but I’m getting there. I’m definitely making progress. … Each and every day I’m getting better. That’s what it’s all about.
Davis, who has been dealing with a lingering back injury would definitely be a boost to Colin Kaepernick and the gang if he is able to suit up Monday night. As for fantasy football owners, we really don’t have the luxury of waiting on final word regarding Davis due to the Monday night game. This is where Jared Cook, the tight end for the Rams would be a handy pick, as he also plays Monday night, making an ideal last-minute sub for Davis should he sit out.
