Cleveland Browns Sign QB Rex Grossman, Why?
Making quarterback moves on the Cleveland Browns’ roster, the team has signed 33-year-old Rex Grossman and waived Tyler Thigpen.
Rex Grossman's 1-year deal with the #Browns is worth $955,000. Counts $570 K vs. cap.

Grossman is a former first-round draft pick by Chicago and has played with the Bears, the Texans and the Washington Redskins since starting with the NFL. He now is entering into his 12th year in the NFL and will find himself in an already complex competition with Bryan Hoyer and Johnny Manziel for the Browns’ starting quarterback job.
Grossman’s stats include 10,232 passing yards, 56 touchdowns and 60 interceptions, with a 25-22 win-loss record.
Grossman arrives at the Browns after not having played in a regular season since 2011 where he started for Washington in 13 games. With some rust to shed, if the team lets him play Monday night, which will coincidentally be against the Redskins, Grossman should add an intriguing must-watch factor just to see how he plays into the Browns’ quarterback mix.
I’m sure there is zilch fantasy football value here versus the loads of entertainment value to be had Monday night.

Rex Grossman in Cleveland? Makes sense. The #Browns are known for picking up QB scraps. Honestly, is he an upgrade over Tyler Thigpen?
