Daily Fantasy Football: Draft Kings Value Picks and FanDuel Value Picks

Time to get prepare and select your daily fantasy football lineups for your Draft Kings contests. Here are some value picks to help you save money for those well-worth-it splurges who should reward tons of points in Week 15.

Bargain Values:

Jay Cutler, Quarterback, Chicago Bears, DK – $7,500 FD – $8,600

Cutler faces the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, where Carolina Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton torched them last week for three passing touchdowns and 226 yards. The Saints currently give up the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and are allowing an average of 275 passing yards per game. Cutler has eight touchdowns in his last four games, so look for Matt Forte to pick up the slack left by Brandon Marshall, and trust him for a higher-than-normal amount of points Monday night.

Philip Rivers, Quarterback, San Diego Chargers, DK – $6,200 FD – $8,200

If you want to dig cheaper, give Rivers a try. He’s been quite successful in his past meetings with the Denver Broncos, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. In his last six games versus Denver Rivers has scored 12 touchdowns.

Justin Forsett, Running Back, Baltimore Ravens, DK – $7,400 FD – $7,700

Forsett has an awesome matchup against a lowly Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense, who allow an average of 21.5 fantasy points per game to running backs. There could be garbage time in this game, meaning more hand-offs for Forsett to pile up the yardage and score you points.

Jonathan Stewart, Running Back, Carolina Panthers, DK – $5,000 FD – $6,700

Stewart was a rock star last week and his price tag is still low. He faces the eighth-worst rush defense in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, currently allowing an average of 102 rush yards per game. Without Cam Newton in the lineup, the Panthers may even run the ball a bit more meaning more opportunities for Stewart.

Jeremy Hill, Running Back, Cincinnati Bengals, DK – $4,300 FD – $7,100

In cased you missed it, the Bengals have announced that Hill will be the team’s primary starter this Sunday. He’s ran decently alone and while splitting carries, so at this price, he’s got bargain written all over him against a Browns’ defense who allows an average of 108 rushing yards per game to the position.

T.Y. Hilton, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts, DK – $8,000 FD – $8,800

Hilton is virtually unstoppable when he plays the Houston Texans. So far in five games, he’s racked up 611 receiving yards and has scored six touchdowns. Earlier this season, Hilton landed 223 yards and a touchdown on the Texans in Week 6. He’ scored four touchdowns in his past three games, so start him while he’s hot!

Julian Edelman, Wide Receiver, New England Patriots, DK – $6,500 FD – $7,000

Edelman posted great numbers in his first meeting with Miami in Week 1 and has been a consistent target of Tom Brady’s these past few weeks, tallying up 278 receiving yards in his last three games. Miami’s worn-out defense shouldn’t prove to be much of an obstacle for Edelman and Brady this week.

Le’Veon Bell, Running Back, Pittsburgh Steelers, DK – $9,600 FD – $9,600

If you’re saving for one major player to get into your daily lineup this week, spend your money on Bell. He’s got a fabulous matchup against the horrible Atlanta Falcons’ rush defense who has allowed the most fantasy points at an average of 24 per week to opposing running backs. The Falcons have also allowed the most rushing scores at 16 this season. Bell has been on fire lately, so watch him just destroy the field this Sunday as your points roll in.

Bad Spend of Money:

Calvin Johnson, Wide Receiver, Detroit Lions, DK – $9,400 FD – $9,400

Johnson isn’t worth the top pick as wide receiver this week facing the Minnesota Vikings where his quarterback, Matthew Stafford could struggle against the Vikings’ secondary who possess the ninth-best pass attack. I’m not saying that Johnson won’t be productive, but I’d go out on a limb and say that Hilton, mentioned above will out-score Johnson.

Whether you play at Draft Kings or FanDuel, good luck on those daily fantasy football contests!
