As we all know wide receiver Percy Harvin was traded to the New York Jets last week, however we must not expect him to play a large role as far as fantasy football goes.

According to the Jets head coach Rex Ryan, told reporters that Harvin would have a small role in this week’s game against Buffalo (via NFL.com).

It’s hard to expect a guy to come in and learn an entire offense. But we’re going to use him. (If) they’re expecting to play 50 plays or something like that, that’s probably unrealistic.

Something to hang on to that’s a bonus for PPR leagues where you receive points for return yardage is that Ryan indicated that Harvin will return the kickoffs and maybe the punts this week against Buffalo. Eventually, Harvin should find his niche in the Jets’ offense, but that doesn’t sound like it’s happening overnight.
