Injury Report: Eagles’ Jeremy Maclin and Giants’ Odell Beckham Out

If you were wishing for the premiere of Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, or New York Giants rookie wide receiver, Odell Beckham to play in NFL’s preseason Week 2, you’re out of luck.
With Philadelphia Eagles’ Maclin still on the mend from his hamstring injury, it looks like he’ll miss his second straight preseason game. Maclin’s presence may have helped quarterback Nick Foles who was pretty awful in his debut last week, throwing two interceptions.

New York Giants’ coach Tom Coughlin said that their first-round pick Beckham won’t be playing in Saturday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, as reported by Jordan Raanan of NJ.com (via NFL.com). Even though Beckham finally began practicing this past Monday, it would appear he’s a no-go this week, surely give his hamstring a bit more healing time.

After two weeks on non-play from either Beckham, or Maclin, their fantasy football value is surley slipping farther downs the charts. Maclin, who missed all of 2013 due to injury, sits right now, as an WR3 option, especially with Foles looking stale. As far as Beckham, he’s definitely not the rookie wide receiver whom I would target at this time.
