LeSean McCoy is Irritated and Says He is Still the Same Player
I would think many would disagree with Philadelphia Eagles’ running back LeSean McCoy who is irritated and claiming he is still the same player he was last year.
Fantasy Football players who own McCoy clearly know he isn’t the explosive player he was back in 2013, as the numbers don’t lie. Over 10 games this season, McCoy has just 729 rushing yards compared to his 932 yards he had at the same time last year. McCoy is also down 1.1 yards per carry, has 215 less receiving yards than last year and only has two touchdowns this season.
Apparently McCoy’s lower stat line has him pretty worked up as he had this to comment to the Philly Daily News when asked if he is still the same player he was last year (via NFL.com).
I’m not going to address, ‘Am I the same player?’ I won’t address that. For what? What are we talking about, am I the same player? That’s for y’all to figure out. You crazy? Am I the same player? I am the same player.

While McCoy’s production is down, rushing the ball at just 3.7 yards per carry, we can’t entirely blame him as injuries have occurred on the Eagles’ offensive line. Additionally, there is that small presence of running back Darren Sproles lightening McCoy’ load which is not the ideal situation when it comes to McCoy’s fantasy owners.
As it stands now, your No. 1 fantasy football pick in McCoy has him ranking 16th among his fellow running backs, 90 points under the No. 1 back, DeMarco Murray.
