New York Jets’ Geno Smith Expects to be a Top 5 Quarterback
Are we hearing this correctly that the New York Jets second year quarterback, Geno Smith expects to be a top-five quarterback?

This is what Smith told ESPN after practice Saturday.
The thing about it is, you have to climb up. If I’m No. 32, by this time next year or the year after, I expect to be in the top 5.
That’s quite the bold statement to make since according to an ESPN survey, it has been determined that Smith is the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. The study polled 26 coaches and executive personnel where they had to rate this year’s 32 projected starting quarterbacks, and Smith ranked in at the bottom of the barrel.
Smith thinking he will fit in with the Aaron Rodgers/Drew Brees/Peyton Manning echelon of quarterback in a year or so is indeed a bold declaration. For starters Smith needs to focus on retaining his starting job with the Jets and improve on his turnovers this season. Top-five greatness takes several years, so patience needs to be one of Smith’s virtues for the time being.
For now, people are not buying it.
New York Jets QB Geno Smith says he expects to be a top-5 QB very soon…..maybe in Madden 15 create a player
