Gronkowski had this to report on his playing status according to ESPNBoston.com and the Boston Herald (via NFL.com).
I’m ready to go. I’ll be playing.
(I’m) definitely not (playing) every single snap. But just get out there, get my feet wet, whatever we game-plan this week, will be good.
It sounds like it’s a go for Gronk and it is awesome news to find this out now, versus moments before game day when it comes to setting up your fantasy roster. That is, if you were daring enough to draft the high risk/reward Gronkowski for your fantasy team
Training camp didn’t appear to present Gronkowski with any setbacks following his surgery to reconstruct his right knee. When in action and healthy, Gronk is a beast to contend with and while he vows to play every game this season, it wouldn’t hurt to have a backup tight end stashed as an insurance policy.
