Why Raiders’ Latavius Murray Makes a Great Fantasy Pick in 2015
The new offensive coordinator to the Oakland Raiders, Bill Musgrave works wonders with running backs. In four of his six years as an OC in Jacksonville and Minnesota, Musgrave led a top-10 rush attack. Think Adrian Peterson. So, what exactly does he have in store for the Raiders’ young running back Latavius Murray?
From what Musgrave has seen from the 25-year-old, he likes, sharing these comments (via NFL.com).
I have a very positive impression. He has tremendous size and speed. He had a super career (at Central Florida). I’m looking forward to getting on the field and finding out what he’s all about and what his strengths are so we can tailor our run game so it’s right up his alley.
Murray certainly looks promising as a fantasy football prospect in 2015 from just the small sampling we got from him last season. With Darren McFadden having seen better days, and Maurice Jones-Drew who never really got two feet in the door when he arrived in Oakland phasing out, Murray could be the Raiders’ workhorse moving forward.
As far as Murray’s value to a fantasy league, he’s definitely worth picking up as a stash who could easily play in a flex spot with room to improve as the season progresses. Remember this bust-a-run from Murray versus the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014?
