Report: Eagles Trade LeSean McCoy to Buffalo for Kiko Alonso

According to ESPN, news has just broke that the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a major trade that swaps linebacker Kiko Alonso for running back LeSean McCoy.

This ends McCoy’s career after six years in Philadelphia where he produced 6,792 rushing yards ans scored 64 touchdowns. McCoy was drafted in the second round by Philadelphia in 2009. Reports by NFL Media Insider, Ian Rapoport indicated that McCoy didn’t always see eye-to-eye with coach Chip Kelly. Saturday pound the ground practices that Kelly had the team complete were one of the things mentioned that McCoy didn’t always agree with.

Alonso, who missed all of 2014 due to an ACL injury was drafted by the Bills in the second round of the 2013 draft. In his rookie year, Alonso had two sacks and 87 tackles. Apparently, the Eagles are not concerned with the linebacker coming off an ACL surgery.

Rapoport also reported that this was a straight player for player trade and no draft picks were involved.

If you are wondering about running back C.J. Spiller, he just found out about his fate with the Bills with this phone call.

This is one of the largest moves yet as the NFL approaches the free agency period on March 10.
