According to sources close to TMZ Sports, they are reporting that there are multiple teams who have expressed "legitimate interest" in former Baltimore Ravens' running back Ray Rice. Rice has not been on the NFL scene since he knocked his fiancée now wife out cold in that Atlantic City casino elevator back in February of 2014. Reports indicate that Rice's agents have been speaking with a handful of teams and serious discussions between key decision-makers about bringing the 28-year-old running back on board have occurred. TMZ Sports further reports that a major NFL agent that does not represent Rice told them he is sure at least one team will take a chance on him, stating this:
He will be back on the field very soon with some team ... I can guarantee that. This is certainly intriguing information arising considering the NFL Draft is just two days away. Prior to this report, all has been very quiet at Rice's camp since he released a letter of apology to former team and community earlier this year. If any teams make a serious move for Rice, it would seem that this would take place after the NFL Draft concludes. Why some teams would want to take a chance on a baggage-embattled older, and most expensive running back rather than starting with fresh, young legs does not make much sense. We shall see what unfolds and if any risk-takers really come out of the woodwork soon enough.
