Will C.J. Spiller or Alfred Morris Outrank Arian Foster in 2013? – Fantasy Football Chick
Running Back, Alfred Morris of the Washington Redskins and Running Back C.J. Spiller from the Buffalo Bills impressed all fantasy owners who were lucky to draft them in late rounds or pick them up off the waiver wire in the early weeks of 2012.
While we prepare for our 2013 drafts, it’s not even a question that Texans’ Running Back Arian Foster will be grabbed up in the first round picks. Now for Morris and Spiller, I see C.J. Spiller going towards the end of round 1 and Alfred Morris narrowly following that pace. Both backs shined fabulously last year, and I don’t see any reason they’re going to slow down this year.
Let’s look at some numbers from 2012. Foster was 3rd in fantasy points with Morris in 5th place and Spiller coming in 7th. Spiller would have made more points if he didn’t leave a couple of the games because of minor injuries. Alfred Morris even edged out the awesome Foster rushing for 1613 yards compared to Foster’s 1424. Foster, however, lead in TD’s with 15.
So if you don’t end up having the opportunity to draft Arian Foster; which means you didn’t score with RB Adrian Peterson either, pick up C.J. Spiller or Alfred Morris, or both of you can. They should give you consistent double digit points nearly every week and possibly out-run Arian Foster some weeks.
